I'm not very good at this

Well forgive my absence, see I say I'm going to spend a year doing promotion and I get lazy after one day.  But, but, but, I want it all now, gimme gimme gimme, gimme some more.

I have to return to the dentist today, but thankfully it should be just a little touch up.  A little burr was left on the new filling and it pulled a little piece of the filling off when I picked at it.  I knew the burr was there while I was in the chair the first time, I guess I shouldn't have been in such a rush to leave.  As previously stated though, someone was going to get their fingers bitten off.

It started me off thinking in a bit of a racist tangent though, in terms of dental professionals I have visited over my years and that made me wonder what race had to do with any of it.  I don't have a large enough pool to compare to, it's really happenstance that any of them were of any race I suppose.  My experience with caucasian dentists in Canada has been that they are scam artists and I wouldn't trust them with my teeth if I had good coverage.  Could be that the white dentists I saw had familial connections, one being related some how, like a second or cousin once removed or some thing, and the other employed my aunt.  The work was subpar and fell out as well as some things, like having my wisdom teeth removed were just plain unnecessary.   The Japanese Canadian dentist I saw after that understood that everything was on a cash only basis and he was a very efficient dentist, nothing took longer then an hour and he had comfortable chairs.  But damn was he expensive, I opted to have teeth pulled rather then paid for work.  Eventually all his fillings have fallen out and the tooth with the crown shattered so I'm glad I didn't try to save the two.  And lastly is the Mexican dentist, he does great work, it's very affordable, not cheap, less then my tattoo artist here, but slow and that chair.  Time will tell how long the fillings stay in my teeth.   Somewhere I read that teeth are only designed to last about 40 years but that's got to be wrong.

So you see race has very little to do with any of it yet obviously the dentists I've used have been divided by it.  The true lesson is don't trust white people or people that make too much per hour and one should look for a dentist that is passionate about teeth.  What I strange thing to get excited about to those of us who aren't.

I don't like to think myself bigoted but as you can see clearly I am.  The truth is I'm a humanist.  I don't care about race I care about actions.  I might be a bit of an anti denti but I understand their place in society, I just ask that the put identifying letters after their names so you know if you can feel safe exposing your smile.
